Oh wow, I had so completely forgotten about Civilization, thanks for the memories Wouldn't mind playing it again, will look into the later versions.

Yeah, I used to enjoy the CIV games. Not sure I ever had IV, but played the first three (and that Alpha Centauri one).

I liked em, but they were rather time consuming! And I always hated the fact that the AI was rubbish, and the harder difficulty levels were just due to the computer opponent getting easier game 'rules' than you rather than playing on level conditions against a better AI.

Ah yes, the joys of getting a whole army onto little boats and across to another land LOL

I played Shaka Zulu always and regularly enjoyed playing world history in reverse, and having the Africans take over the world LOL

Civ I was the first game I played heh, with my dad when I was really little

Civ II I could sit for hours at an end telling myself I would quit after a few more rounds

I've still got a shrink wrapped Alpha Centuri, it was at a ridiculous £8 but didnt dare open it!
