Any fans of the games from Paradox?

Europa Universalis I, II, III, Rome
Hearts of Iron I, II
Victoria
Crusader Kings

And all the expansion packs.

I have them all.. and are awaiting the coming release of Hearts of Iron III.

BTW Paradox has a great forum, with very dedicated players and employees actively taking part in the discussions.

They are also very good a making patches even for their old games.

Hearts of Iron 2 was a great game to play and had great replay value. I tried their Supreme Ruler 2020 and found it to be a blast to play also but very bugged and hard to get into. I played as Iran to earn billions on oil to buy and research nuclear weapons but it seemed at the time that the game werent supporting nuclear weapons

No matter how much you tried..those missiles wouldnt launch

SR is just published by them.

This looks like my corner of the forum although I would contest these are RTS not TBS

Played them all, but HoI2 + expansions + mods is by far the best. Have reinstalled it many times since first playing it.

Watched a preview video of HoI3 and it looks like the level of detail will be vast compared to before, perfect for a micro management freak like me

I went with Venezuela for the same reason, oil , I liked the game but as you said very bugged and never went back to it. Must check to see how patched/modded it is now. The one bug that stands out were the stupid bugged bridges.

I know.. It depends on ones definition. Personally I'd never call a game of grand strategy an RTS. RTS is for me fast paced and with short game time.
