Just a FYI - I've been using something called Dropbox to share files between computers. It installs a folder on each computer you install it on and when connected to the net it uploads files you put in the folder to a server. You can then grab those files if you're sitting at another computer. You can also access the files via a web interface and share files via a link. Not a bad little program.

Teamviewer's a great alternative, it has different modes from remote assistance <controlling the other user's computer - don't worry, the person being "assisted" has more control over their mouse and can shut down the program easily.>, to file sharing and to be honest those are the only 2 I've tried so far.
