A chatroom may be added later, once GamersHQ becomes more active and there is enough interest by members.

i remember a few times logging in to EF and seing the list of chatroom users, and Moogle being the only person in there.

Who the hell were you talking to? and were they answering?

TBH i don't understand chat rooms....... i do almost all of my forum spamming while at work, in between doing some work. A chatroom would not easily fit into that.

Indeed I see no use of chat rooms either. It seems that on all fora I know the chat room is empty or just filled with 2 poor guys waiting for something that won't happen =)

It could be good in the future, but would need a much larger audience, right now there are 350 or so members, most of which use EF and never use the chatroom unless Entropia is down...

As such until this forum gets 10,000+ regular users I dont see it having a use, especially if it pulls mods away from their other duties in order to moderate there

You can have a chatbox directly on the forum or a chatbox that you have to open first.

A chatbox directly on the forum is handy for quick questions or have a short conversation. However on some forums it may cause lagg.

A chatbox you have to open first will cause less/no lagg but then not everyone will see your question.

I prefer a directly chatbox coz I have 'experience' with both and it's just more handy for questions, you get to know most people better and can be fun to imo.
But I think it's indeed the best (like others said) to wait more for a chatbox till this forum gets more populated. Coz what's the point of having a chatbox if noon or only 2 people/ a few are using it? When this forum gets more populated it would be a nice extra I think.

I have considered adding a chatbox here on GHQ, one of my other forums has one. Perhaps I will make it a perk for Founding Members
