Caesar 3
It's been a long time since I plaeyed Caesar 3. At the time it was just great. I know the graphics aren't much but the gameplay makes up for it. I'm mostly a builder type. Didn't really like the militarry mission because I was alwasy defeated

Children of the Nile
I can just say that I've spent at least 90 hours playing this game and I still haven't finished it. When you get the hang of it it's really awesome to build those egyptians buildings. Oh and you got a world map where you can do expansions like build a quarry somewhere and it will send you stone after some time. You can build an army and send it to the world to conquer other cities. The scenario is quite cool actually. There are different epochs(missions) that Egypt goes through. The rise, Fall, Rebuild and etc. Each of these are missions that you go through for example in some you have to build Pyramids as grand projects or make the Nile bigger. Or there militarry battles that you must participate in.
All in all the game is a lot of fun and very addictive. I recommend it

Zeus++ expansion Atlantis
I haven't played the main game yet because I started directly from the expansion. In the expansion you are playing Atlantis and you must lead them through time. There are a lot of buildings and monuments to choose from and the economy is awesome also. There is a lot of trading involved, in fact in some missions it is required. You basically have 1 main city and colonies to it which you must build. For example in the begining when you start with Atlantis you leave your main colony after a few mission so you can build new ones. When you build up two cities you get back to your main city and these colony pay you tribute in one form or another. In some aspects the game is similar to Children of the Nile but has many different things also. There is a story that you follow which is interesting and makes your gameplay even more interesting. The graphics may scare you at first but play it a bit and you see that it's actually fun despite the graphics.
This might not run on newer PC-s (with Win XP, I don't think that it will run on Vista). I've found a solution for that(at least it worked with me). Install the game on an older pc with like 256 ram or less and just copy the game folder to your newer pc. It should work now.

Other Roman games
Caesar 4, Imperium Romanum, Grand Ages:Rome
The current hit at gamespot is Grand Ages: Rome. Awesome graphics,buildings, plot and play. It's what I'm currently playing. It has even elements of RPG in it so it's worth a play.
I've played also Caesar 4 and Imperium Romanum like a year ago but can't remember anything about them lol

This is from me and I hope it helps you choose a game to play
