Age Of ...

Ah yes, the good Age Of Empires/Mythology.
I thought someone was gonna make a thread about them. So why not I?

Age Of Empires I, probably the best of the 3. Huge campaign and lots of civilisations to choose from.
The following had reduced civils to chosoe from, I havn't played II but III has a nice campaign, as long almost or a lil longer than I campaign and great additions to the AoE gameplay.

Age Of Mythology, a game that is classic and will never be un-loved. Greta gameplay and nice info about mythology whilst playing and fun to invoke a bolt onto a enemy when your bored.

Tactics, favourite civil., favourite one of the 4 (expansion incl.) and your opinions on what is good and bad in these great games.

Yeah, the Titans. Good classic game with great expansion.

Age of Empires Really rocked, especially the second part, the third one I didn't like that much.

However, a pretty analog game, but even better I think was Empire Earth (while this series became worse with the second part and even worst with thr third one, but hell, Empire Earth I just rocked)

Empire Earth and Age of Empires II were about the same time I think, what I prefered on EE was that it just went over the time like Civilization, just on the AoE genre. Therefore AoE was more detailled in the area it took part, so all in all both were just great, still I prefered Empire Earth - try it out if you haven't yet, it's down to 5 bucks now I think and worth every cent of it

your right, EE (part 1!!!) was the best in the series, and i still love to play it sometimes, esp. the german campaign as it was hard as hell the first lvl of ww2 (which was like the 4th or 5th you unlocked)

as for AoE, i liked 3 the most, probably couse i LANned it alot.

Good to see positive comments about this great series & notes about how other games compared to it.

My fav Civ in AoM would probably be Gaia/Hades.

AoE III fav civ would probably be Germans/Spanish, wiht expansion, Japanese.

EE, need to buy this I guess.
