Yes, only 3-4 months. I used to play only this game during that period, nothing else. Though I continued to play it over the year along with other games. I am planning to start it all over again, though this time I will try to finish it quick

Finish it quick? that's no fun!
You gotta get into the game, feel the enviroment, look at how the developers made the quests and how the made your bandit caves.

The side-quests are what I love about TES games. Go into here for MQ and ooh!, a Side-Quest!

But still to complete such a huge RPG in that small amount of time requires you to have detailed knowledge of everything about the game and a few glitches.

I am sure it will take at least 2 months to finish if I get started.
