What are the best driving games for PC?

rFactor is a racing-sim with shitloads of community-developed cars/tracks/racing-series..
it is rather a racing-sim than a racing game and offers up to 64 player online races and race-series with all kind of cars..

The NFS series are the best. I just loved the last one- NFS Undercover.
Really awesome. I was like the Road Runner with the Audi TT

I am willing to give you a medal for thinking it was a great game. You are the only one I have encountered so far and I work at GameStop and all we see if people trading in the game as "a piece of shit"

I've played only NFS Underground and when Undercover was released I switched to it

regarding all the NFS-discussion:
the original NFS back in the 90s - THAT was a game! it was, imo, by far the best of them all.. brought daylong smiles on our faces.. after that it went downwards - quickly (i still enjoyed NFS3 though).. then i lost interest in it, because the brand was leaning more towards action-games - rather then speeding/car-fanatics/racing ppl..

(we played this one as teens - with N2O injection (.. into us, not an engine, lol.. speeeeeeedrush!)

GTR 2, Nascar Racing 2003 Season, Race 07, and rFactor are my favorite for realism. Dirt Track Racing 1 and 2 are fun games, if you like dirt track racing.

Test Drive Unlimited was my favourite until I bought the new mac pro, now it causes instant kernel panic both in XP and Vista64 so I can't play it anymore.

I also like NFS MW and Undercover.
