What sort of topics would be covered in a...

...Networks course in Computer Science education?

I realize this may be a stretch in terms of the getting to the intended purpose of this subforum, but I have to take the course this fall and know nothing about networking, nor have any clue what to expect.

normaly network courses cover the same main topcs.
OSI Model
DNS
Routing
classfull subnetting
CIDR/VLSM subnetting
Topologys (ethernet, Token ring, star etc)
Network hardware and different uses.
Standard port numbers for common protocols
basic firewall and security
contents of a packet/frame
encryption stadards
inner workings of ethernet and tcp/ip stack
