Yeah I'm trying to have fun here guys not get a gambling addiction

I have looked into second life already and though my scripting and marketing isn't great I do design clothes a bit irl for my film company and well my own clothes so what I'd like to find there is someone that possibly already sells their own brand of clothes who would partner with me to sell mine. I'm in no hurry to do this though as I'm about to start filming a tv pilot and I think that could take up quite a bit of my time.

Kimmi what I'm trying to do is make money with what I call my play time. I don't always play 20 hours a week. Sometimes a lot less as my job tends to be seasonal and there is absolutely no way I'd ever give up my job to game for money. I mostly just enjoy the challenge of making money. Might sound weird to some people that I enjoy that but I do.

My intentions so far are to give Entropia a bit longer in terms of money. Its picking up as I get more money in game to trade with etc and I'm enjoying it which is my number one priority. As I get some time I think I will try EQ2 as well as that seems to be the most recommended and Second life if i can find the connection I need in there. Primarily though I'm an artist so not so hot on marketing unless its coming up with wacky viral marketing schemes. I probably wont bother with Eve. I have looked at it a few times and I don't think I will enjoy it as much as some fo the others and if I can just play for free so far Entropia is beating that. I'm playing entropia for free and profitting as well.

Mostly the point of this thread is to just let you guys know how I'm doing. I'm seeing if the average normal person can have fun and make some spare money on the side by starting from scratch doing it legally and only having one comp.

You find trading enjoyable? I can't imagine standing around buying and selling stuff to be any fun at all. Unless you like the thrill of making a profit. If that is the case, then I return to my poker suggestion.

I don't just trade and I don't do that much street trading. I put quite a bit on auction these days. I also fap for decay and tips. I'm also quite a social person so I'm quite happy to stand talking and yes I find that fun. Each to his own I suppose. I don't find poker that fun except that one time I played it for chocolate coins.

There are ways if you know what kind of intital hands are good etc. It is certainly easier than some things. I know quite a few people that manage to make money playing poker. It is very different playing it on the internet to playing it for real in front of people though. Bluffing is completely different.

Ah I'd half forgotten i was updating this here. So far so good. I'm still only playing entropia. I found my playing time got seriously reduced towards the completion of my rl book so I've only been playing maybe 1 hour per day on verage at best two and I'm still making about $50 per month playing eu so for now I'm staying put doing so. It would require a bit more time to get other games up and running well enough to make similar amounts of money and the EU economy is beginning to recover from its post VU 10 blues so I'm expecting that amount to go up as well.

Though for anyone interested the increase of money is including mark up and I've not withdrawn any yet. It gets easier to make money the more there is.

Nice work Marie. You're doing some good work.
Hope it doesn't fall down if you go really big.

And good work with your Book & CYOA.

Thanks. I've invested in quite a few different areas now to hopefully spread my risk out a bit more so things are reasonably secure for now.

Also really pleased with both the book and the CYOA though still going through editing on the book and some people have really decided they don't like the CYOA on the entropia forums.
