Free to play? You forgot the best mmorpg ever - the game that actually started up the idea of the real cash economy that a lot of other games are starting to follow.. Diablo II.
The game itself is not free... but since it's so old you can get it for darn near free...
Free 2 play is a game that dont cost anything to buy or a subscription fee. Diablo costs to buy and so does Guild Wars.
Shadowbane is the best Free2Play for PVP. The official Ubisoft servers have been shut down but there is an Emulator being developed. Check it out for sure and if you want more details let me know.
