Not willing to do that for another year at least and perhaps this would work better considering Microsoft's track record of OS software releases.
It worth it.
I did run seven even of very very low configuration aka P3 800 with 512 meg ram...It is not really faster(no power gain) than xp on a such low configuration , but evrything is way smoother , and the ram management is way better.
I tested it also on p4 2gb , and dual core with 4 bg ram...
Evrything is faster ,smoother , better...
You can load what ever driver or softweare , almost evrything manage to run with the compatibility mode...
I did load on the 64 bit , vista 32 bit driver( i was testing)... and it works lol...
I hope M$ will make out seven in october...

as for card , well , if you have some money go for nvidia, if you try to be eco go for ati...
And for builder , i think gainward is not much more expensive than other , but got a serie called golden sample , wich seems to be very very quiet.( i hate noisy card).

Im running Vista premium 32 bit and upgraded the card last year with an Nvidia 8800 GT and increased from 2 to 4gb of ram and it works fine.
Runs EU flat out with no worries.
I will still wait a year to upgrade system and change to WIN 7 though.

Well said. I've heard nothing but good things from power users and I've done some thorough testing myself and have absolutely no complaints with the beta builds of W7. It's finally a product that is going the right direction out of the box for MS.

Seven will probably come out in october , and should be given to people who did buy vista. From what i know M$ did stop to work on vista(beside security patch) to finish seven faster , since all big compagnie that build computeur wait for it.
Seven is see as the holy grail by many because most user wait it and dont upgrade yet.they hope seven will boost up the sale and make the 2009 year less bad cause of world crisis.

As for card gainward golden sample , if you buy one now , chek that you buy a V2(they say that both fan are regulated). If you have one of the first golden sample 4870(no regulate) you can have for free a little cable to make it regulated( that also explain some bad test in the begining of that card, seems there was a little problem in factorie the first weeks).

Windows 7 is way better than Vista, I am currently using XP and will jump to 7 as soon as it releases in October.
