Are consoles ever rented out?

I don't know if this is the right place for this topic or now, but I was wondering if any stores rented out consoles as they do console games. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

i know of a couple of places that do this in the uk, i cant remeber exact prices but it was somethign like £XX deposit and £15 rental for 2 dasy with 1 free game.

it was the video/dvd rental places that did these, no idea about any other types of shops

That's cool. Though not a very long rental period, it might be better than buying a system for one game.

I don't know but my cousin says that long ago he used to rent SNES during holidays and played it all day. Haven't seen anyone renting console these days, though there might still be some who do.
