What specifically do you mean by that statement?

I like the fact that everything I do has a value. I've played other MMOs (LoTR, EVE etc) When I'm done, what do I have. Nothing. After EU, everything else seems like a waste of time.

I also enjoy Poker. Same feeling. It isn't gambling either though

It really makes you think about what you want to do in game. Ex.: Do I enter a hunting event? If so, do I deposit for ammo and decay or do I sell off some ores/materials/goods to get PED? Or not enter at all and find something else to do(craft, mentor, small hunt, team hunt, play at ring, or just hang out.....). You are allowed many choices of what to do in EU that have an effect on your RL wallet

Same as mandu, it just makes your playing time more worthwhile. Or course, EU is kind of an exception with it's free-to-play, pay-with-microtransactions. But that's what drew me to EU initially (now I don't play it much).
