Court approves takeover of Eidos by SquareEnix

Gamasutra is reporting that the takeover has been approved by the UK court system and will be finalized today. The takeover is effective immediately and tomorrow SE will be in charge.

Square Enix is hoping that this will give them a better foothold on the Europe and North American markets...not that they really need it.

Gamasutra has a breakdown on the share information here

Erm, they've not released anything here yet have they? I know there is SupCom2 and a WWII game, but they're not out yet. They've been Japan only so far if I recall correctly.

Batman: Arkham Asylum's co-Publisher was Eidos.

Also coming out this week is Mini Ninjas.

I hope there is a good Tomb Raider and Hitman game in the future.

Eidos, not Square Enix.
