Computers and console will just keep getting better and better, but the console will lack all the buttons and hotkeys a computer has. Also a computer can be upgraded which will last for a few more years where as the console will have to be replaced by the next gen of it.
A console will cost $500-$1000 when it first comes out, with that you can upgrade, or in some cases, build, a computer better for the same amount of money. A computer can also play games without the need for a disc, Dawn of War for example, install via CD then pass on the CD never needing it again.
Consoles are also limited to the amount of information it can hold, e.g.20gb Xbox360, 50gb Xbox360 etc., but a computers are already going into the Terrabytes of storage with multiple hard drives.
All in all, I think the Computer will always outdo the console as the console controllers are primitive in comparison to the keyboard and the specs of a computer can and will be, vastly superior to the console.
