At what age should people stop gaming?

As the title says... At what age should people stop gaming?

I heard a chat show on tv recently and the host seemed horrified that a female was gaming online at the age of 47. Although I'm a year (or several) away from this age but no spring chicken I'm just curious as to what most people think the age to quit online gaming should be and if there should be one.

I've been playing online games now for 12+ years. As far as I'm concerned I was a late starter so have a lot of catching up to do. I've done the clubs and pubs and now I find it fun to stay at home with a drink (or several) and meetup with friends online and play some games.

Is this good or bad? I'm just curious as to peoples answers and I would be interested to read some opinions

Oh, and for those wondering, when I get the age old a/s/l question I say... old enough to be your mother, for me to know and for you to find out

What I think personally is that it is a "What people think when the hear that" issue rather than if its bad to be playing at that age. You have to think about it age is a "made up thing" there is no such thing as years or any donimation of time it is just how logically we have divided it up. There would be WAY less stereotypical barriers if time just didnt exist when it came to the age of a person at all and everyone would prolly get along better and have more common grounds.

Now to your question...I dont think gaming is wrong for any age or should be looked at badly havent you seen the board games...1-99! Thats how I feel. Its also SUPER GOOD for your brain to constantly have it working it puts of diseases that would normal happen because of decay due to inactivity. If anything you are prolonging your life and your brain.

And it is true I think I have seen somewhere cant remember where that 40-60% of all gamers are 40+.

Nothing to be ashamed of PLAY ON! Tv ROTS the brain but a good MMO gets it cookin as far as i am concerned.

150 I`d say, but might get higher as life expectancy increases.

Old now is not what old used to be. For eg life expectancy around 1900 was around 40 and now got above 70 in lots of developed countries. There are signs it might significantly increase in the next decades.

That's an easy question.

As long as you can work the controls and have fun, no need to stop.

End of story

If you have free time, why not? As a matter of fact, it might give seniors something to do. Not there yet, but maybe one day.

When I'm in my box or when my arms and legs are chopped off.

Whichever comes sooner.

People shouldn't stop gaming because its some social faux paus. Game until it doesn't bring you enjoyment anymore.
