Has GHQ Made You Try A New Game?

Having just renewed a subscription for Eve since reading the discussions here on GHQ, has anyone else bought a new game, console or even just gone back to a previous game because of GHQ?

Yeah, I dug out FEAR. Then I went through the hassle of finding the 1.01 -1.08 patch or whatever it was. Then I logged in. Then I got scared. Then I turned the game off. Now its back on the shelf.

Yes, I tried a new game. It was just a demo, but tried "And yet it moves".
I also hunted out my Playstation 1, and i'm in the process of searching for my Amiga, which is under at least an inch of dust in the far reaches of my attic (I can never get to the corners as there's no floor, just old thin beams ). I also had a decent look over some old PS2 games, and am thinking of flogging them to get some cash for some new PC ones

I certainly have a shortlist of things I'd like to try, and plan to, as a result of this site

I`ve installed Call of Chtulhu again cos of my own thread. Also tried out Mafia as it was discussed here on forum. Made me keep an eye out of some titles that should be launched soon like that Zeno Clash mentioned here on forum.

I voted for other because I am considering Guild Wars and looking at more upcoming and new releases because of the news section. I haven't made a move yet, but it's inevitable that I pick up a new game based on something that I saw on GHQ.

You left off the "Haven't had the time, been too busy trolling the forum" option.

Actually, that is one reason I signed up. I'm hoping that once I have time, I can use people's recommendations from here. I think my first step is going to be downloading the open source Quake 3 engine from another thread and playing with that for a while. Maybe see how difficult game development is.
