rss Developer Explains Clone/Transhumanist RPG

destinyland writes "How much would you use technology to change yourself if humanity faced extinction? In this interview, the two creators behind Eclipse Phase explain their bizarre role-playing game, which 'expands the transhuman conversation.' All the characters can be identical clones, and when you switch bodies, it affects your core characteristics while damaging your sanity. But its spookiest concept is close to reality today: the idea of universal surveillance in which 'everything is networked and equipped with sensors and all meshed together.'"

Transhumanism is a new and great philosophy that should help man transcend its genetic and biological limitations. Nice to see the word gets out. Games are a popular medium to make it known to a broader audience. I suggest to everyone a very good read: "Designer Evolution: A Transhumanist Manifesto"

Same here, is there any service or tool through which Pen&Paper RPG's could be played online?

I hope Google releases Google Wave soon because they have promised some interesting features with it which would indirectly enable such Online Pen&Paper RPG's to take place.
