Indeed. In my country people still remember the russian troops stabbing babies, pregnant women, raping, stealing, random killing for fun and we were their allies at the time. Amazingly inhumane stuff happened little differently than many people think of both sides on the war. But of course history is written by the winners. Everyone should get over it is what I think and as you say this might happen over time.

I think that's very true. Most decision makers, even the most ruthlessly avaricious entrepreneurs have close family ties to that war and only the distance of generations will dissolve them.
