I hope they will but graphics alone dont make people play n stay. Far Cry 2 is a good example of that.

Showing up at conventions using avatar ambassadors has gotten us pretty much nowhere either. With the real world economy looking as it is right now also I think we wont see much growth in the game until things stabilize, ce2 or not

Yes, I do think however when several planets are advertising their part, there will be more players total entering the universe.

Both real life and the in game development need to stabilize, there are quite a few risks and unknowns around these days, not many are willing to take the jump.

We dont need people entering though,we need people STAYING

Current stay ratio judging by David Simmonds numbers n total accounts the ratio of actual players vs total accounts is quite a far way under 10%

Correct.. we need steady healthy growth. Not these big bubbles of people that enter the EU because of news headlines.

I think we will see that with the new planets. Even if MA does nothing to promote the EU, we will have many people with a substantial investment all doing their part to attract people to the game.

was about to ask if it really was that low a %, but then i thought about the players ive met at NAZ and run to swamp camp, helped them to settle in and never heard from again. and it sounds about right, which i think is a real shame.

its not shock tactics that makes me want to play a game but what others think of it, we can submit all the wish lists to MA that we want but its up to them what they implement. you think theres anythign more we as players can do to increase the retention rate?

Yeah and their point of active is a really kind one I would say since I would call someone active if they have 1global a month in any category and then we are talking about maybe few thousand since there are only 600-900 unique avatars globaling a day according to trackers.
