I have used cheats in strategy games like starcraft or Age of empires to get more resources and stuff.

Also the fun cheats in morrowind to make the character do funny stuff like jumping 100 meters up and falling to his death . or getting supeintelligence to create some incredibly powerful potions.

I have been known to use a few cheats and trainers. The cheats are put in by the developers and I don't really see them as cheats, but as fun little things that can be done to make the gameplay a bit different.

Trainers on the other hand sometimes took advantage of flaws in the system to enable a player to "cheat" outside of the built in things, but they were still fun to do.

When my daughter was younger she was a Yahtzee fanatic and I found a cheat that enabled me to roll whatever I wanted each roll. I was able to get the highest possible score. You should have seen the pout when she started the game and saw that I had beat her scores LOL.

the only game i ever used cheats fro was the sims, that was mostly so i didnt have to send them to bed when they got tired. i prefered havign them out and about doing stuff

Since I'm a gameserver administrator for quite a few online games I check out most of the cheats/hacks on my private servers to see how they work and what they do so I can spot them in the actual online world fast, to ban the cheaters!

As for built in "cheats", only in single player AFTER I finish the game!
