I've never had a problem with PC cooling even though I've only ever had fans and I'm Brisbane Australia so it's not a cold climate and I lived in WoW for a couple of years as well as other lengthy gaming sessions and the PC doesn't get turned off very often so I'm not sure why water cooling would be needed. Admittedly I've always gone middle of the road PCs so perhaps there isn't a huge amount of heat being generated but the box sometimes got pretty hot in the middle of summer. Have I just been lucky? Putting water in my PC seems close to like bathing with a hairdryer to me Sure, it can be done safely but is it really worth the slight risk? Perhaps if I had one of I would consider moving away from air cooling .

water cooling have always atract me for the noise low level , and performance , butthe risk seems a bit too hight...
I prefer to wait an other technologie like peltier effect to use the whole computeur case as cooler.also , it seems the new fight bitween amd and intel , is on power consuption and heat , for server...i guess next generation of chip will be way less hot...

I've got a liquid cooling system on my main pc atm and I've never had a problem. its relatively quiet and looks pretty cool lol. That said I doubt I actually NEED the system considering my processor or gfx are hardly used to there full potential anymore lol

bugger!

So far I haven't had any problem, I have took it apart to clean the inside of the comp and topped it up and still no leakage or anything.... that said.. my insurance runs out on the comp soon so it'll probably break a day after that lol

IMO water cooling is actually less complicated then air cooling if you're going for high performance.

Why?

Well when you're going for a high performance air cooling system you generally have to do a fair bit of basic case modding i.e. covering certain vents to provide more directional airflow, etc so that hot air isn't flowing from your GPU(s) to your CPU, etc.
