New Spider-Man game being unveiled at WonderCon April 2

Next month's comic book and sci-fi convention will feature first details of Beenox's next webslinger game.

From April 1 to 3, San Francisco will be the scene of WonderCon 2011, the latest in the 24-year-old series of sci-fi and comic book conventions. Besides the usual offerings of cosplay and celebrity sightings, the expo will offer a variety of presentations on various forms of media, ranging from anime to video games.
The next Spider-Man game is coming out of the shadows on April 2.
On Saturday, April 2, one such session will be of interest to both comic book fans and gamers. During a 4:30 p.m. talk simply called "Activision Spider-Man," Marvel VP of games production TQ Jefferson, Marvel writer Peter David, and voice-over actor Josh Keaton (who played the lead in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions) will be on hand. They will present "all-new Spider-Man video game content," including the debut of "exclusive details, screenshots, and videos of the next Spider-Man game."
Also in attendance will be various members of Beenox, the French-Canadian studio that was handed the Spider-Man franchise by owner Activision earlier this year. Beenox's first crack as lead developer on the franchise actually came last year with Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, which received a positive critical reception.
Beenox's tenure helming the Spider-Man franchise could potentially be lengthy. Though Spider-Man creator Marvel Publishing is now owned by Disney, Activision secured the rights to the comics kingpin's webslinger through 2017.
