Tanoth is a browser game were you are in control of a hero.

In the beginning you start with a small amount of Gold and Bloodstones. These can be used to purchase items (weapons, armour, mounts etc.) or improve your attributes.
Adventures can be completed to gain experience and raise your level (and attributes), Duels can be fought against other players to increase your Fame and Work can be done, even when offline, to earn additional gold.
Guilds can be formed or joined and as you progress in the game you can access the Dungeon and have the chance of finding better items.
My main tip for anyone starting out in this game is not to click on the New goods button on the merchant screen, this costs you 1 bloodstone for each click and additional Bloodstones can only be purchased with real currency.
