FunOrb
Sounds weird yes?
It isn't really, Jagex the creators decided to make some browser games that you can simply play with other people if you are simply a casual gamer and do not have much time to spare, many of them simply being old classics with revamped graphics and gameplay.
Remember worms on the PC?
It is now arcanists, where you attack your enemies with magical effects and blast them to kingdom come...
Chess is still there as is a Digger Dan style game, a classic 80s romp through the earth hunting for diamonds while avoiding boulders plus a connect4 type game among many, many more. All multiplayer servers can hold upto 2000 players each which is more than enough to find someone to play against, and if that is not enough, your user account has access to Runescape, Jagex' flagship MMORPG with over 1,000,000 subscribers and 150,000 people playing at any one time during the day simultaneously.
The best thing of all, most of it is free with the option to pay $2 per month for a whole slew of other options such as added games, extra weapons on fighting games, priority forum access (freeplay does have access, but only after an initial period of getting a specific amount of achievements ingame in order to cut back on advertisement throwaway accounts) plus access to all games without adverts.
Give it a try, and if you see me (Sparhawke_Pa) with my player mods crown say hello
