Another World

Did anyone ever played Another World? I spend a lot of time on the SNES version, amazing game for that time, quite difficult too.
I read that there was a PC re-release in 2006 of the game, making it possible to play under a modern windows pc . You can order the game here. You can also download the demo of it here. .

Worth to try out!

OOh yes, I first played this on a Mac (only game I've ever played on that platform) managed to get about half way complete.

Had award winning graphics and animation for its time.

I only tried it briefly on a Amiga with what I suspect was a fucked up joystick...I couldnt make the first level jumping

I'm not sure if that was the joysticks fault, the gameplay can be annoyingly difficult right from the start . The timing for jumping is a bit strange, I don't know how many times i jumped to my death in the first level alone. But it's a challenge for sure.

It's a 'cinematic platformer', here is a video showing the introduction cutscene and gameplay to give you an idea of what it's like (watch out for spoilers if you are planning to play the game, it's a walkthrough vid!).

I remember this game, i had it on SNES i believe...or could it have been on PS1...well anyhow...

This game was really hard! i remeber grinding these endless jump-sections, and like Sahel said, the timing on the jumps was more than critical...

The feeling in this game was somehow eerie, and scary even, but it was definetly something different, and i still remember it...

I actually dont think i ever got to the end in this game, it was so hard, but got far...I have to look that video later when i get home from work, and see if it jogs my memory about ever passing the game...
