TES IV: Oblivion

Just thought I'd make a thread about one of my favourite computer games.

the graphics arn't the best I admit, but they are great.
The gameplay is great on it, the main story line and the side quest are fun but can be annoying.
It has a great range of items with nice looks and quality.

Discuss what you want about it and talk about items or mods and seke help for quests if you ever need help. Will do me best to hint you in the right direction or hopefully other posters will.

Preferred armour: elven.

Definately is!
If I were to recommend a mod that doesn't change much in the game, it is the Topal Island mod. You get access to all skill books (optional reading) and a nice glass claymore.
A must have.

P.S. I feel like a filthy forum whore already, not even 3hours and I can't rpe anymore and I have posted too much.

I still play it from time to time. The Elder Scrolls really is one of the best series ever. Where already Morrowing had a very very very huge map for a long gameplay, the world of Oblivion is even bigger what I like.

You can run the world several times and still find out new stuff and there are enough quest for a half year of nice gaming adventures.

Already look forward to the fifth part in 2010

I have played through those with cheats on - just to check the storyline and the world. That series is one of those that doesn't need the "gaming" to be entertaining enough to justify the price.

Ah yes, console codes. Nice lil' fun they can be, the wonder of TES is enchanced by them sometimes (but only after you've finished it before!).

I don't play for challenge or for excitement, but to enjoy the storyline, graphics, music, atmophere and such.

TES is a digital equivalent of a book, you can take to shit with you and open it at any page and enjoy it. No matter what's on that random page you open.

Which is why everyone loves it!

I have to rep you for that post as it explains how I feel about TES completely.

I only played it with the official mods and my favorite there was the Mage's Tower.

Best part with Oblivion/Morrowind games is all the animations MindArk took from it to use in PE. I guess the moves came with the GameBRYO license but some own programming and adaptation from MA would have been nice

Well I have an FPS of 2-3 when playing that game on my computer, but I have still played it for over 100 hours total.... think that says alot about how good it really is? heh

I just love the fighting system because you can utilize RL skills much more when fighting with the sword and shield than you could in Morrowind
